On August 14-26, 2024, V.L. Klyaus conducted field research in the Zabaykalsky krai and Irkutsk oblast.

In the village Krasny Chikoy (Krasnochikoysky district, Zabaykalsky krai), the VIII International Festival of the culture of the Semeiskie Old Believers “Semeiskaya Krugovaya” took place on August 16-19. V.L. Klyaus interviewed the participants of the festival from the villages Arkhangelskoye (Kochyon), Albitui and Urluk in Krasnochikoysky district and Buldurui village in Kyrinsky district of Zabaykalsky krai on the topics related to the project. Then he visited villages Urluk and Ust-Urluk, where the interviews with locals were also conducted. In the city of Irkutsk and the village of Oyok (Irkutsk Oblast) the materials were collected among the descendants of Russian old-settlers of Mongolia (“Mongolyory”).

Audio and video recordings of songs, mythological prose, legends, oral stories and descriptions of rites were made; photographs from family albums were copied.
